Huan-Ching Chou

Born in Hsinchu County, Taiwan, pianist Huan-Ching Chou continues to develop his artistry through performances in recent years. A top prizewinner at numerous international competitions, including the First Prize at the 2025 Weatherford College International Piano Competition in Texas.

He also received the Third and Best Prokofiev prizes at the Young Artist Category of the 2024 Spotlight International Piano Competition. That same year, he became the youngest finalist at Taiwan’s 36th Chi-Mei Arts Award and represented his artistry at the 19th Ettlingen International Piano Competition. Earlier this year, he was selected as one of twenty competitors at the 2025 Hilton Head International Piano Competition. His earlier achievements included the First Prizes at the 2021 Philadelphia International Piano Competition and the 2017 Singapore International Youth Piano Competition.

Huan-Ching is an active soloist and collaborative musician, captivating audiences at venues such as The Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, the Steinway Piano Gallery in Toronto, and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. His performances have also been a highlight at celebrated festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, and the Oxford Piano Festival, where he attended as a full scholarship recipient. Earlier, during the global pandemic, he also took part in the Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy and the Gijon International Piano Festival in Spain, continuing to enhance his skills and grow as a musician through these valuable opportunities.

Besides performing, Huan-Ching is also a recording artist. At the age of 17, he recorded his debut studio album, Floating Dreams, which was released worldwide on major music platforms, featuring substantial works by composers ranging from Haydn to Kapustin. Currently, Huan-Ching is pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree under the tutelage of Mr. Jerome Lowenthal at The Juilliard School.
